What if the dark lord won?

Imagine Voldemort killed Harry or Sauron won in the Lord of the Rings. That’s the story of Mistborn.

The man who is supposed to save the world has failed.  Now the world is a bad place, not the beautiful one it used to be. Ashes fell from the sky in the day and mists at night. There are no flowers or green plants, it is either black or brown. The tyrant ruled this world for a thousand years suppressing “Skaw” the working community with the noblemen. One day a thieving crew decided to steal from the lord ruler. But they are not just stealing from the Lord Ruler they are going to overthrow the immortal god.

The world-building is amazing The Ashes falling from the sky, the mysterious creatures in mists at night, the inquisitors, and many more. We can really feel the suffering of the Skaw. The cruelty of the noblemen. The two main protagonists are Kelsier and Vin. Vin, a 16-year-old works in a thieving crew, she is mistreated in that crew. Later Kelsier a middle-aged man invites her to join his crew. It was different there the members had mutual respect and considered everyone’s opinion. She is trained and supported by the crew. The story revolves around how Kelsier and his team defeat the lord ruler. Can he succeed or does he fail like others?

 MAGIC SYSTEM

 Allomancy is the magic system in Mistborn. When we consume a vial of metals, we gain powers like enhanced senses, pushing and pulling of metals (like magneto), manipulating human emotions, etc, and also has to face the consequences thereafter. So, it's a believable magic system.

For the plot for an amazing world, for the character development read the Final Empire. It is a well-constructed story without any plot hole. Thank you, Brandon Sanderson, for creating such a masterpiece.
